Touch
The realm of taste and smell
are fiefdoms that would
be hard to lose
and sight
and sound
kingdoms
perhaps
even harder to
lose
while
yet
maintaining
a sense of
one’s self
and
assessing
the reality
around
us
especially
that of
you
But the
realm hardest
to lose
would be
the Empire
of touch
For our basic
humanity
is invested in
the hyper-semantic
expressivity
of
the language
of touch.
